- Choose a toothbrush with a small head and soft bristles so that it can reach all parts of the mouth.
- It is preferable to be careful to choose a toothpaste rich in fluoride.
- You should brush your teeth at least in the morning and evening, for two minutes each time.
- Be sure to change your toothbrush every 3 to 4 months.
As for the method of brushing and toothpaste, it is applied as follows:
- Adjust the toothpaste brush at a 45 angle to the gums.
- Move the brush down and up to clean the front teeth.
- Repeat the process of stirring from the bottom up with the rest of the teeth.
- Clean the internal, external, upper, and lower parts of the teeth, especially the parts between the teeth and orthodontics, if any, to completely get rid of the small parts stuck to them from food that may lead to tooth decay.
2. The method of cleaning teeth using floss
It is recommended to clean between the teeth by flossing at least once a day, to maintain the health of the teeth and gums, as the brush and paste alone are not enough to get rid of the bacteria that cause plaque.
The method of flossing the teeth is very simple and is done according to the following steps:
- Stretches a string approximately 20 centimeters long.
- The floss is passed between the teeth from the surface of the tooth to the gums, and you must be careful while passing to avoid damage to the gums.
In the event of difficulty in using floss to clean the teeth, especially in the presence of braces, the orthodontic tool called Floss Threader can be used, which is similar to a sewing needle, and greatly facilitates the passage of thread between the parts of the braces.
3. How to clean teeth with mouthwash
It is recommended to use an antibacterial mouthwash at least twice a day, as it helps to get rid of food residues stuck between the teeth, and also reduces infections caused by the installation of braces if any.
The method of brushing the teeth with a mouthwash requires only rinsing with an effective mouthwash twice a day, in the morning and in the evening, after brushing and toothpaste.
