How do you keep your skin healthy and attractive?

To know how to treat your skin, you must first diagnose your skin type to suit the appropriate treatment. In the following article, learn how to care for and maintain your facial skin.

Each of us has different facial skin, there are people with dry skin, and there are those with oily and shiny skin that is characterized by large pores, and there are people with mixed facial skin - some of it is dry (in the cheeks area) and some of it is oily (the forehead, nose, and chin).

Facial skin is also divided into sensitive skin that may sting or cause itching when certain cosmetics or certain cosmetic products are placed on it. There are people with normal skin that can absorb almost everything.

To build a facial skincare routine, it is important to first diagnose the quality of our skin. If we use materials or preparations that are not suitable for the type of our skin, we may exacerbate the phenomena and symptoms that our skin suffers from. After we have fully diagnosed the type of skin we were born with, we can start taking care of it.

1- washing the face

For most people, washing the face once a day is recommended. For people with very oily facial skin or for those who use makeup during the day, it is recommended to wash the face also during the evening.
Even after doing a sports activity, it is recommended to wash the face, as perspiration may clog pores and cause or exacerbate acne.

2- soap

It is never recommended to eat soap placed on the sink and use it to clean the face.
It is recommended to purchase special products for washing the face, to suit the type of your skin.

No need to buy expensive products, not all that glitters is gold. It is important to make sure that the product you use is suitable for your skin type and does not contain substances that you know your skin is sensitive to.

The face should be cleaned gently, in circular motions without rubbing. It is important to wash off all the foam from the face and then dry it with a towel with light patting movements.

If you realize during the first washes that the product does not suit you, do not continue using it and try another product.

3- Clean the skin

Skin cleansing varies according to its type. How is that done:

  • Clean oily facial skin

If you have oily skin, use cleansers without foam. Then wash your face with warm water to remove the extra layers of fat. After washing, it is recommended to use a face wash that is also suitable for your skin type. The lotion keeps the skin clean and reduces shine.

  • Clean sensitive facial skin

If you have sensitive skin, use special products for sensitive and delicate skin and rinse with warm, not too hot water. It is important not to rub the skin while washing or drying. Do not use products that contain alcohol, soap, acid, or fragrance. Instead, look for products that contain skin-soothing ingredients like chamomile, aloe vera, green tea, and oats.

4- Use the cream

After cleansing, a cream is recommended that detoxifies the skin such as NIVEA ® Urban Skin Detox Cream by reducing environmental stresses and pollutants. It reduces blemishes, refines pores, and visibly tightens the skin leaving it looking smooth and healthy. You may think that you are still too young or that your skin is oily enough that you do not need a face cream, but that is not true. It is recommended to start using a moisturizer at an early age to prevent facial skin from drying out and aging prematurely.

The cream should be applied immediately after washing your face, and if you suffer from acne or oily facial skin, it is recommended to use a light cream that suits your skin so as not to clog the pores and exacerbate acne.

5- A cream that contains sun protection factor

In a hot region like ours, it is necessary to use a cream containing SPF daily, all year round.
We recommend using a moisturizer with an SPF, such as NIVEA®  URBAN SKIN DETOX +48H MOISTURE BOOST DAY CREAM that provides 48-hour moisture, SPF 20, and UVA protection. Plus it boosts the skin's defense system.

6- Don't go to bed with makeup on

When you're tired, the last thing you think about is removing your makeup. Remember that makeup can clog pores and cause acne. It is therefore recommended to remove makeup with a gentle makeup remover with cotton strips and then wash the face.
You can wash it without removing makeup before. If you are using an external acne medication, the best time to apply it is at night before going to bed when your face is free of makeup.

7- Don't forget the masks

Many do not use masks and this is wrong. It reduces environmental stresses and moisturizes and purifies the skin. Try NIVEA® 1 MINUTE URBAN DETOX MASK MOISTURE, formulated with green tea extract and hyaluronic acid, which gives you intense moisture and healthy, smooth skin.

8- Choose a suitable makeup

It is recommended to use makeup products on a water-based and not greasy basis. Remember that cosmetic products also have an effective date. Mascara replacement is recommended every four months. It is also not recommended to enable other people to use their own cosmetics or to use test strips provided in stores. Sharing cosmetic products, especially eye cosmetics, may lead to infections and infections.

9- Try not to fall victim to misinformation

When we go to the pharmacy or the store to buy beauty and care products, we are surrounded by advertisements for smiling models with smooth and fresh skin.
Remember that apparently, they don't have such complexion, and they are likely using a unique product called "Photoshop".

10- Maintain a healthy lifestyle

To maintain healthy and beautiful facial skin, it is recommended to eat healthily and correctly. Build for you a diet consisting of many vegetables, fruits, whole grains, and milk products. It is also recommended to eat fish, poultry, lean meat, legumes, and eggs. It is recommended to avoid foods that contain fats, cholesterol, trans fats, salt, and sugar.

Good sleep may also improve the appearance of facial skin and prevent dark circles and puffiness around the eyes.

 acne

Acne is a phenomenon associated with the teenage generation. This is because this generation is linked to the body secreting a lot of hormones that lead to excessive production of fat. Oil mixes with dead skin cells, which leads to clogged pores. Germs begin to form inside the pores, causing acne and comedones.

Acne should be treated with caution. It is strictly forbidden to populate grains. Use external products such as fats or gels. You have to be patient, as these products sometimes take weeks to take effect. If external treatment does not help, drug treatment can be transferred.

If you use hair spray or other products, it is recommended to keep it away from the face skin, as it may clog the pores.
